Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs announced the launch of a page where valid UAE residency visa holders – stranded overseas – can apply for an entry permit.
Earlier this year, UAE launched a special service for residents who were stranded abroad after flights were suspended around the world due to the coronavirus outbreak.
In a tweet on Friday night, GDRFA asked residents to apply on this link to get permission to return – before booking their ticket – to return to the country.

Residents’ return depends on local travel restrictions, availability of flights. They will also be tested for coronavirus and self-quarantine themselves at their home or hotel for 14 days.
